Praise the Lord! All of our possessions are safely at our new home…at least nothing is left at the old place, but I haven’t actually unpacked everything yet. In fact, I’ve been in such a whir of toting, hauling, cleaning, packing and unpacking, that I’m in a bit of a sore and achy fog. There is still much to do before I can breathe a sigh of relief, put my feet up and say, “We’re home.”
I absolutely know this move is a blessing from God. Not just the new place He led us to, and the resolution of all the usual glitches and traumas along the way, but the actual move itself. I have met my new neighbors, my landlord, and had a chance to check out the neighborhood and this feels so much more like home. Left to my own devices, I would have succumbed to inertia and remained in our old place, growing ever more dissatisfied and sinking into a rut. This move, although stressful and really hard physical work, has made me begin to grow once more. The expense has forced a greater reliance on God, as well.
With each new challenge we encounter I can say, “Thank you, Jesus,” for His leading, guiding and, occasionally, His painful prodding as we work together to move along the path He has set before me. Answered prayers aren’t like granted wishes, leading to a life of ease, but stepping stones to growth and a closer walk with Him.
Hi Jonna, are you still in Red Bluff?
