Psalm 40:4 says, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.”
After the events of this week and the discouraging rulings by the Supreme Court, I felt in need of comfort and encouragement for
the struggles to come. I awoke this morning after a restless night with these words from the song Nothing Is Impossible running through my head:

Put your trust in God alone and
Rest upon His Word,
and everything, yes everything,
Oh, everything is possible with God.
There are difficult days ahead for Christians as Creation winds down. We will be tested and refined. It is important to remember our trust belongs in the One who never disappoints.
“…in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 56:11)
Thinking of Psalm 2 quite a bit lately and recent interactions with those who support this latest ruling. The craziness of it all. Who are we too rant against God? I feel so burdened for their standing before him. Praying for wisdom. Praying for them. Remembering the hope in, “and such were some of you”. Remembering my own conversion and God’s amazing, huge, unearned, mercy.

Wow, some kind of wake up call. If you knew this it is time to practice it.
