Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

One of my guilty pleasures is watching crime dramas on TV. I love to see the investigators catch the bad guys with just a fingernail scraping or a strand of hair.  MP900398761

These shows are not only entertaining, but educational, too.  I’ve learned that people leave tiny traces of themselves everywhere they go and on everything they touch. These bits and pieces are accepted by our legal system as trustworthy evidence because the DNA inside is a unique identifier of an individual.

When I discovered that the code within DNA meets the accepted definition of an actual language it gave me the shivers. Finally, irrefutable evidence for intelligent design.

I was surprised and disappointed to see this proof largely ignored by the proponents of the Life by Happy Accident theory: Somehow, Something happened, Someplace in the vastness of empty Space, and this cosmic accident created all life.  This is the same theory that explains Spiderman and so many other comic book heroes, so it is useless to debate it.  The facts of the DNA code can’t stand up against such a theory.

Still, the physical science of DNA is fascinating and has parallels in our social interactions.

As I move through life I am touching others and leaving an impression of myself behind.

I pray that the language in my spiritual DNA tells the story of what the grace of the Creator God has done for my life and shows compelling evidence of my salvation.
