One of my favorite TV shows is “The Biggest Loser”. I love to see how the contestants transform themselves through hard work and determination.
On a recent episode one of the contestants commented on his weight-loss with these words, “It’s not where I’ve been that defines me, but where I am going.”
I thought about how true that is for a Christian.
The fact that we know where we are going should define us and be evident in all that we do.
Where we have been is not nearly as relevant as our final destination. If we have done well in this world the glory goes to God. If we have regrets in our past, we are forgiven. But the knowledge that we will spend eternity in Heaven makes all the difference in how we live our lives today.
