I returned last night from six days with the American Baptist Women’s National Executive Committee at our meeting at Daylesford Abbey near Philadelphia.
In spite of the usual hardships and indignities of air travel these days, I feel uplifted, stretched and inspired by the time the nineteen of us spent together praying, worshiping and working to move our ministry forward for God’s purpose.
I am continually amazed at what close proximity to such dedicated, gifted women can teach me and the ways it nourishes my relationship with Jesus.
More than eight hours a day spent in board meetings doesn’t sound like a recipe for inspiration and growth, but when each minute of every meeting is both bathed in prayer and dedicated to God wonderful things can happen.
I am excited by the decisions made and look forward to the challenges and possibilities ahead.
Having even a small part to play in these pivotal days in our ministry is such a blessing.
Keep your eyes on American Baptist Women…women destined for God’s purpose.
